Director, Revenue Cycle Solutions 

Strategic leadership at the intersection of client performance, revenue cycle operations, and product innovation 

Position Summary 

The Director, Revenue Cycle Solutions serves as a strategic advisor, operational leader, and solution architect responsible for helping healthcare providers maximize financial performance across the revenue cycle. This individual combines deep healthcare revenue cycle expertise, technology enablement, workflow optimization, and industry best practices to drive measurable outcomes for clients while supporting internal operational excellence and product innovation. 

The role works closely with executive leadership, client stakeholders, operational teams, and technology teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement, develop scalable solutions, and support the continued evolution of HBiZ's technology-enabled revenue cycle platform. 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Advisory & Transformation 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hospital and health system executives, revenue cycle leaders, and operational teams. 
  • Assess current-state revenue cycle performance and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Lead strategic engagements focused on denial reduction, cash acceleration, authorization optimization, CDI alignment, coding performance, and revenue integrity. 
  • Provide recommendations to improve Epic workflows, work queues, reporting, automation, and operational processes. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders, including CFOs, Revenue Cycle VPs, and health system leadership. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Partner with operational leadership to improve productivity, quality, and financial outcomes across service lines. 
  • Develop best practices, standard operating procedures, and workflow optimization strategies. 
  • Support client launches, performance improvement initiatives, and remediation efforts. 
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend operational enhancements that improve client results and scalability. 

Product & Innovation Leadership 

  • Collaborate with product and development teams to define future-state technology solutions. 
  • Translate client and operational challenges into product requirements and enhancement opportunities. 
  • Help shape the evolution of HBiZ platforms, including automation, AI-enabled workflows, analytics, denial management, and workflow orchestration tools. 
  • Participate in product strategy discussions, roadmap prioritization, and solution design reviews. 
  • Support testing and validation of new technology releases and functionality. 

Revenue Cycle Expertise 

Provide subject matter expertise across: 

  •  Patient Access 
  •  Authorizations 
  •  Coding 
  •  Clinical Documentation Improvement 
  •  Revenue Integrity 
  •  Denials Management 
  •  Appeals 
  •  Claims Management 
  •  Underpayment Recovery 
  •  Patient Financial Services 
  •  Epic Revenue Cycle Applications 

Business Development Support 

  • Support sales pursuits, client presentations, and solution development efforts. 
  • Participate in discovery sessions and executive presentations. 
  • Assist with proposal development, solution design, and pricing strategies. 
  • Help establish HBiZ as a thought leader within the healthcare revenue cycle marketplace. 

Industry Leadership 

  • Track healthcare reimbursement, regulatory, technology, and operational trends. 
  • Develop thought leadership content, white papers, presentations, and conference materials. 
  • Represent HBiZ at client meetings, industry conferences, and executive forums. 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • 10+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience. 
  • Deep expertise in hospital and physician revenue cycle operations. 
  • Strong understanding of Epic revenue cycle workflows and optimization strategies. 
  • Experience leading process improvement and transformation initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to present to executive-level stakeholders. 
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and consulting skills. 

Preferred 

  • MBA, MHA, or equivalent graduate degree. 
  • Prior experience with Epic Systems. 
  • Experience supporting health systems, academic medical centers, and integrated delivery networks. 
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, analytics, and technology-enabled healthcare services. 
  • Consulting and client-facing leadership experience.

Reporting Relationship 

Reports to: CEO or Chief Operating Officer 

Works closely with: Executive Leadership Team; Client Services Leadership; Revenue Cycle Operations Leaders; Product & Technology Teams; Sales & Business Development Teams; and Client Executive Sponsors.
