Job description

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking an experienced Security Services Support individual with a strong background in government and industrial security. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in SAP and collateral security operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a secure, fast-paced environment. As a Blue Sky Innovator, you will work collaboratively to maintain and improve current personnel and physical security standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain access control programs, including visitor and material control, generating and processing visitor access
  • Process Program Access Requests (PARs) and maintain accurate program access databases
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and related administrative activities to ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures
  • Identify potential security risks and implement effective solutions to support operational continuity and mission success
  • Enforce entry and exit inspection procedures in compliance with SAP and collateral security requirements
  • Manage and safeguard classified materials and secure classified containers within assigned facilities
  • Conduct physical security inspections and support annual or, as directed, space recertification requirements

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Minimum of 5 years of program security experience supporting SCIF/SAPF environments and SAP programs
  • Experience with classified access programs and handling sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant work experience and training will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Center for Development of Security excellence (CDSE) Security Specialist Course and the Security Professional Education Development (SPD) Certification Program, highly desired

Experience desired:

The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful roles in managing the full range of personnel and physical security requirements for SCIF/SAPF operations. Specific highlights from the candidate's career may include:

  • Served as an SSR/SSO for a SCIF at the COCOM level
    • DISS database management, generate and action Visit Access Requests (VAR's).
    • Conducted indoc/debriefs at the GENSER level
    • Conduct space inspection, certification, and recertification requirements.
  • Served as an SAP Personnel/Physical Security Manager
    • JADE database Management, generate Program Access Requests (PAR's)
    • Generate and action Visit Access Requests (VAR's)
    • Conduct indoc/debriefs
    • Conduct space inspection, certification, and recertification requirements

Other Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding policy documents
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to work assertively and independently with minimal rework
  • Willingness to travel (<25%) within CONUS
