What we need:
The BI Specialist is an established performer that helps with the delivery of global BI solutions within a Global IT Center of Excellence (COE) team. The role collaborates with other IT colleagues to help facilitate systems integrations and transitions and works hands-on with data warehousing/BI technologies like SAP BusinessObjects suite, HANA, Tableau, PowerBI, and SSAS to provide support to the business community for all BI-related applications.
What you'll do:
  • Work with Global IT COE colleagues and project sponsors/customers to successfully implement Business Intelligence Analytics applications for the business.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement data models for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
  • Draw from prior experience, interpret facts, and identify incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.
  • Use innovative solutions to enhance personal work and, where applicable, the work of the team.
  • Participate on project teams on strategic long-range and highly complex projects that span the organization, crossing business unit boundaries. Participation on the project team may take the form of many different roles including but not limited to requirements gathering, tester, business user application trainer, and application development.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive and cohesive datasets for analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of data.
  • Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
  • Participate in major applications integration efforts, this includes but not limited to application testing and user support of purchased package applications.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in data modeling (Star schema and 3rd Normal form) and hands-on experience in ERWin and other modeling tools.
  • Experience with integration of SAP BOBJ and SAP BW.
  • Experience implementing SAP BOBJ and Tableau on HANA.
  • Experience with Microsoft's BI Stack; SSAS and PowerBI.
  • Experience with EDW development life cycle from business requirement gathering to end solution.

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Good understanding of how BI/Analytics helps various business functions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group, to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
