At NorthBay Healthcare the Ambulatory Service Center Registered Nurse II (ASC RN II) has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the ASC.  The ASC RN II makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.  Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient.  Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Remote Work Disclosure

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.

Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.

Education: 

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required.  For existing staff BSN is required by January 1, 2021, unless grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter.

Licensure: 

  • Valid and current RN license by the State of California. 
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.  
  • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
  • Telemetry certification required within 3 months of hire.  For existing staff as of February 15, 2020, Telemetry certification required within 3 months. 

Experience: 

  • Six months to one-year acute care or ambulatory surgery experience preferred.

Communication: 

  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills in the English language.
