Position Overview

Alpha Behavioral Wellness Therapy is seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated team of mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and therapeutic evaluations to inform the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups. These interventions may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to facilitate comprehensive and integrated care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client records are up to date.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and networking opportunities to stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices and mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and often face significant barriers to accessing mental health services. You will work with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of emotional and psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Your specialized knowledge and empathetic approach will play a vital role in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve long-lasting improvements in their mental health.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting (direct counseling experience is highly desirable).
• A profound understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health counseling practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a variety of clients.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and other relevant technologies to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience within outpatient mental health settings will be advantageous.

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, dependent on experience and caseload.
