Job Details Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and execute company-wide strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Lead procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and manufacturing components.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supplier agreements.
  • Develop sourcing metrics, KPIs, SOPs, business reviews, and reporting.
  • Optimize procurement processes to reduce lead times and inventory costs.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Develop contingency sourcing strategies.
  • Partner with Quality to ensure supplier compliance and product quality.
  • Lead supplier evaluation, audits, and performance management.
  • Drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Perform market research and monitor industry trends.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality.
  • Track procurement KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
  • Drive continuous improvement across sourcing systems and procurement processes.
Qualifications Needed
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience.
  • Experience within the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong experience negotiating supplier contracts and strategic agreements.
  • Proven experience leading supplier management programs.
  • Strong background developing strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience driving measurable cost savings.
  • Strong analytical and business analysis skills.
  • Experience optimizing supply chain performance.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing procurement teams.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements related to nutraceutical or dietary supplement manufacturing preferred.
  • ERP procurement experience (Oracle preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional leadership skills.
