Job description

Position Summary:

The forklift operator will be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation and management of the warehouse. This includes receiving, preparing, and delivering products, materials, and supplies to the appropriate departments or locations. The forklift operator will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and tracking inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Stock area supermarkets with shop supplies and direct material
    Assists in maintaining accurate inventory in the warehouse
    Assists with 5S for the team's area
    Assists with safety, quality, delivery and cost 
    Receive and answer calls for items needed to support production
    Responsible for delivery of materials in the plant to support production.
    Ensures all material movement in the warehouse is first in first out.
    Stocks glass at the Eastman as necessary.
    Change out resin totes as needed.
    Empty trash dumpsters as needed.
    Delivers acetone and changes out waste drums as needed making sure that all drums are marked and stored properly.
    Ability to safely operate power equipment


Education/ Skills/ Experience:

    Warehouse or material handling experience required
    Ability to interpret and accurately receive paperwork 
    Ability to maintain accurate inventory
    Must be able to safely operate equipment such as forklifts and scrubber
    Must be able to adapt to adjusted, changed, or improved work instructions
    Must be able to follow directions/instructions from Team Lead and Supervisor
    Basic computer skills required
    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
    Must be able to work independently and within a group setting
    Ability to maintain safe work environment

    General warehouse responsibilities including receiving, delivery and operation of forklifts and other equipment.
