Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically-minded Senior Ad Trafficking Specialist with 5-8 years of extensive hands-on expertise in Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end setup, implementation, and quality assurance of complex digital advertising campaigns, ensuring flawless execution, superior data integrity, and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of ad serving technologies, exceptional leadership in problem-solving, and a proactive approach to driving operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Campaign Management: Strategically plan and oversee the comprehensive setup and configuration of highly complex digital ad campaigns, advertisers, and placements within CM360. Develop, enforce, and continuously optimize best practices for naming conventions and client specifications. Drive proactive management of campaign assets, ensuring optimal alignment, scheduling, and strategic execution across multiple concurrent campaigns and diverse media plans.
  • Advanced Creative Asset Management: Expertly manage and provide guidance on the upload, testing, and assignment of diverse creative assets (display banners, video, rich media, native) in CM360. Establish and refine advanced QA protocols for creative functionality, compliance with intricate technical specifications, and flawless landing page redirection across a multitude of browsers, devices, and platforms. Mentor junior team members on complex creative deployment scenarios and innovative creative technologies.
  • Tracking & Tagging Mastery: Serve as the subject matter expert for generating, implementing, and rigorously auditing ad tags (display, video, click trackers) for a broad spectrum of media partners and publishers. Design and implement advanced floodlight tag strategies for comprehensive conversion tracking, ensuring absolute data accuracy and optimal firing across complex client ecosystems. Lead the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of highly intricate tracking discrepancies, implementing long-term solutions and preventative measures to safeguard data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Reporting, Analytics & Optimization Leadership: Drive advanced campaign performance analysis, leveraging CM360 to generate sophisticated standard and custom reports. Translate complex data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations for media, analytics, and client teams, proactively shaping ongoing campaign optimization strategies and performance improvements. Oversee comprehensive campaign delivery and pacing, forecasting potential issues, and implementing preventative measures for under/over-delivery concerns across a portfolio of campaigns.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) & Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and continuously enhance best-in-class pre-launch QA processes for all campaign setups, tags, and creatives. Establish benchmarks and lead initiatives to minimize errors, ensure seamless execution, and mitigate risks associated with ad serving. Lead comprehensive post-launch validation and ongoing monitoring procedures, identifying areas for process optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Communication & Collaboration: Act as a primary strategic liaison, fostering highly effective communication and cross-functional collaboration with senior internal teams (media planners, buyers, creative, analytics, development) and critical external partners (publishers, vendors, ad tech providers). Expertly translate complex technical requirements and specifications into clear, concise, and actionable communications for diverse stakeholders, driving alignment and efficiency for critical projects.
  • Advanced Technical Troubleshooting: Lead advanced technical troubleshooting efforts, independently diagnosing and resolving highly complex issues related to ad serving platforms, creative rendering, intricate tracking discrepancies, and sophisticated data reporting challenges. Strategically engage and manage vendor support teams (e.g., Google, Innovid) for expedited resolution of escalated issues, often serving as the primary technical point of contact and driving long-term solutions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of progressive, direct experience in digital ad trafficking and ad operations, with a deep specialization and proven mastery of Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360).
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting, managing, and resolving highly complex issues across all ad types and advanced tracking methodologies.
  • Profound understanding and practical application of the entire ad serving ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, and performance metrics, with an eye towards strategic impact and innovation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) for in-depth analysis, forecasting, and executive-level reporting.
  • Unwavering attention to detail, exceptional organizational, and superior project management skills.
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, and advanced problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing, negotiating, and presenting complex information to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to strategically prioritize and expertly manage multiple high-stakes projects concurrently in a dynamic, high-volume environment, often with competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with multiple ad servers (e.g., Innovid, Flashtalking) and a comprehensive understanding of various demand-side platforms (e.g., Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk) and supply-side platforms.
