Job description

Direct Support Professional 

Acti-Kare of Marietta, is seeking compassionate, dedicated Full-time and Part Time, caregivers for our client in Cobb, Cherokee, North Fulton, and surrounding areas.

At Actikare, our Caregivers help seniors remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes while building rewarding one-on-one relationships. Whether you have professional caregiving experience or simply have a heart for helping others, we provide paid training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Caregiver responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
  • Participate in clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
  • Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
  • Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
  • Be a trusted companion and provide meaningful emotional support.
  • Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Offer medication reminders to keep clients safe.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and run errands.

SHIFTS:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • On call
  • Weekends only

Job Types: Part-time day and evenings


Pay: $15-$17/hour based on  experience.

 Job Requirements:

Previous experience caring for Dementia seniors as a caregiver in a home care setting, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab facility, or hospital. Must have:

  • Must have experience caring for the elderly
  • Must have current TB test and CPR
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have Reliable Transportation/Car Insurance and Clean Driving History
  • Must be passionate about helping others
  • Must enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
  • Must like animals (dog and or cat
