Job Description:

DSP Direct Support Professional provides direct care to residents including: compliance with the house rules, participating in meal preparation, transporting to and from activities and medical appointments, assist in the self-administration of medication, completing daily documentation, implement treatment goals and objectives under the supervision of the Program Manager, assist residents in their independent daily living skills, maintain the house environmental needs.To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills. Our ideal candidate will also be familiar with basic bookkeeping and office administration processes. Someone with Total Care Experience preferred.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication administration
  • Support individuals with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist individuals with mobility, including transferring and positioning
  • Accompany clients to appointments and community activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and coworkers



Qualifications:

  • High school diplo
  • Internal Job Code
    ma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation



Requirements:

  • A least 18 years of age
  • A High School diploma or GED
  • Able to obtain Arizona State level one fingerprint clearance
  • Able to obtain certifications for CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support (training provided to you if needed)
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred
