Job description

Direct Marketing Solutions is looking for a Press Operator to join our team. Wherever you may be in your career, DMS could be the place for you!

Position Summary:

The Press Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of multi-color Heidelberg sheet-fed press, meeting DMS-established production expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly read Press Tickets to ensure all jobs are being produced to client specifications.
  • Refer to Press Ticket to ensure proper materials, such as ink and paper, are staged prior to beginning a job.
  • Perform appropriate quality checks as required to ensure proper alignment and print prior to running job.
  • Verify all documentation, including proofs signed-off by the Account Manager, has been provided prior to running a job.
  • Work closely with Feeder to ensure high quality jobs and maximize production.
  • Report any problems or malfunctions to the Production Manager or shift lead immediately.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Clean blankets, cylinders, and press prior to the end of each shift and/or between jobs.
  • Ensure supplies such as rags, chemicals, water, and ink are fully stocked for the next shift.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Press Production Manager.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with DMS Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Adhere to all DMS policies and procedures at all times.
  • Learn and adhere to all Information Technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Learn and adhere to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
  • Complete all required compliance training on time and in good faith.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to four years of relevant experience
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of programming consoles
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English at a level that will promote a safe work environment

Schedule: 

1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm

2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm

Pay: DOE
