You will ensure quality and best practices in the Mail Department while preparing items for delivery to the post office in compliance with USPS regulations.
What You'll Do:
As a Mail Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that outgoing mail is processed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining inkjet printers, folders, and inserters.
  • Scheduling and prioritizing projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Adhering to written specifications for each order and monitoring print quality.
  • Investigating and initiating resolutions for any substandard work.
  • Sorting, traying, sacking, and palletizing mail.
  • Ensuring all mail is compliant with current USPS regulations.
  • Updating project statuses using electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Maintaining inventory of all materials and supplies needed for processing.
  • Advocating and exemplifying safety in all activities.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ year of experience in a print production environment.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to error-free work.
  • Ability to read small text and interpret job tickets or technical instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
  • Standards for professional attendance and punctuality.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
