Maintenance Tech Forge - North Vernon, IN - $30/hr

Location: North Vernon, IN

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Overview:

We're seeking a Maintenance Tech Forge to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment within a forging environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and industrial production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automated systems.

Support forging operations by maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Complete assigned maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance activities.

Communicate repair status, equipment issues, and maintenance needs to supervisors and production teams.

Assist with equipment upgrades, planned maintenance activities, and process improvements.

Support engineering and quality teams to improve equipment reliability and production performance.

Maintain equipment, facilities, and plant property in accordance with safety and operational standards.

Share technical knowledge and support ongoing maintenance training initiatives.

Promote a safe work environment while following company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Associate Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred, OR equivalent maintenance experience.

2+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.

Basic troubleshooting and repair experience.

Basic hydraulics knowledge.

Experience supporting industrial production equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer skills and maintenance documentation experience.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.

Forging, compacting, or machining line experience.

Allen Bradley controls experience.

Siemens controls experience.

Fanuc controls experience.

Experience with deflash, double disk grinding, shot peen, white light inspection, magnetic particle inspection, or related processes.

Electrical maintenance experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Rate: $30/hour
