About the Role
As a Sales Director, Commercial Sales with Element, you will directly impact the financial success of the organization through the acquisition of new business and the development of strategic customer relationships. This role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing complex commercial opportunities while positioning Element as a trusted business advisor. The Sales Director will engage executive decision-makers, uncover operational and financial challenges, and align Element's solutions to measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires a strong hunter mentality, exceptional consultative selling skills, executive presence, financial acumen, and the ability to lead complex sales opportunities through a structured and disciplined sales process.
What You'll Do
  • Generate new business opportunities and acquire new clients within assigned territory and target segments.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and outbound business development activities.
  • Lead complex sales opportunities from initial discovery through contract execution and implementation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Risk, Legal, Operations, Implementation, Product, and Client Success to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Conduct executive-level business discussions with C-suite stakeholders, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations leaders.
  • Identify strategic business challenges and align Element solutions to measurable operational and financial outcomes.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to maximize market penetration, opportunity creation, and long-term revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management through CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Serve as a market expert by identifying industry trends, competitive insights, customer needs, and emerging opportunities that support Element's growth strategy.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of successful experience in complex B2B solution sales environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales, customer management or direct fleet management experience.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and revenue objectives.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring new customers through a structured sales methodology.
  • Candidates must be located in Texas (Dallas or Houston preferred) in order to be considered for the role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a financial services customer-facing commercial position.
  • Preferred experience within the vehicle management or a related fleet, financial, or asset-based industry.
  • Experience within fleet management, mobility, transportation, financial services, leasing, business services, or other asset-intensive industries preferred.
  • Experience leveraging tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, 6sense, or similar sales intelligence platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder mapping and relationship development capabilities.

Location
Current Location: US Remote (Texas - Dallas or Houston, preferred)
The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $137,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
