To thrive as a Direct Care Manager, you need a background in healthcare or social services, leadership experience, and a relevant degree such as in nursing, social work, or health administration. Direct Care Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the delivery of care and support services in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or community-based programs. They supervise direct care staff, coordinate care plans, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain a high standard of service for clients or residents.
