Job description

Settler Structures LLCConstruction Sales Representative

Company Overview

Settler Structures LLC designs and builds custom barndominiums, pole barns, metal buildings, and shop garages throughout the Springfield, MO region. We are a fast-paced, growing construction company where creativity, initiative, and customer-first service matter.

We operate without layers of red tape, empowering our people to make decisions quickly and win work in a competitive, real-world construction market.

The Opportunity

This role is a fit for a driven outside sales professional who wants to own a territory, control their income, and see their work become real projects on the ground. You will be the face of Settler Structures in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas, building a book of business in a high-demand segment of the construction market.

Instead of being one of many in a large corporate sales machine, you will have autonomy, direct access to leadership, and clear visibility into how your deals turn into exceptional builds for our clients.

What You'll Do
  • Build and manage your own sales territory in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas (Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Branson, and nearby markets).
  • Prospect, generate leads, and manage your full sales pipeline from initial contact through signed contract.
  • Conduct in-person customer presentations and consultations to understand needs, review property specs, and propose tailored building solutions.
  • Collaborate with estimating, production, and project teams to scope jobs accurately and set realistic expectations with clients.
  • Stay involved throughout the sales cycle to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and referrals.
  • Grow market share by capturing new business opportunities and deepening relationships in your territory.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within 36 months, you are consistently building and managing a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across your territory.
  • You reliably move prospects from first contact to signed agreements, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon quarterly sales targets.
  • Customers rate their experience highly, with repeat work and referrals contributing to a growing share of your closed business.
  • You become a trusted resource on our building solutions, working smoothly with internal teams and representing Settler Structures professionally in the market.
What We're Looking For
  • Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and self-motivated personality with the discipline to manage your own territory and calendar.
  • 2+ years of outside sales or account management experience; construction or building-related sales is a plus.
  • Proven experience in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust with clients, follow through on commitments, and stay organized using CRM tools (or willingness to learn).
  • Comfort working non-traditional hours for customer consultations (evenings and occasional weekends) to win and retain business.
  • Construction background or familiarity with building processes is helpful but not required for the right sales-focused candidate.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary plus commission with uncapped earnings potential.
  • Territory support including vehicle, company phone, and laptop support.
  • Full-time, W-2 employment with paid time off and holidays.
  • 401(k) and health insurance stipend.
  • Mobile office flexibility and autonomy to manage your schedule.
  • Significant career growth opportunity as the company expands and the market continues to develop.
How to Apply

If you are a motivated outside sales professional who wants to build a territory, close meaningful projects, and grow with a fast-moving construction company, apply with your resume and a brief note on your relevant sales experience.
