Job description

Position Title: Sr. Civil Engineer
Location: On-Site in Richmond, VA
Clearance Requirements: None
Pay Rate: $59/hr
Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Civil Engineer for a challenging 12-month contract (with extensions possible) based in Richmond, VA. This key role supports a long-term infrastructure project, requiring leadership from design to construction. The engineer will take charge of engineering design reviews, agency permitting, RFIs, submittal reviews, and provide oversight during construction activities. You will serve as the lead engineer to ensure project quality, regulatory compliance, and timely milestones are achieved, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle. This is an in-person, onsite opportunity perfect for professionals eager to make a significant impact in the energy infrastructure sector.
Top Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a strong background in design review and permitting (local, state, federal)
  • Proven experience leading projects from initial design through construction
  • Exceptional knowledge of RFIs, submittals, regulatory compliance, and permitting processes
  • Ability to work onsite in Chesapeake, VA, 5 days/week
