Job Title: Food Runner - DINNER

Job Summary:

The Food Runner plays a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by ensuring food is delivered to guests in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner. This position involves supporting front-of-house operations by assisting with the delivery of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Food Runner collaborates with the waitstaff, kitchen team, and management to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Restaurant Manager for daily operational tasks and responsibilities.
  • Greet guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the dining room, kitchen, and workstations.
  • Assist with the receipt, storage, and proper organization of deliveries to ensure inventory is accurately stocked.
  • Ensure that condiments, utensils, and beverage supplies are fully stocked and readily available for guest service.
  • Be knowledgeable of the front and back-of-house areas, including storage rooms and ice stations, to efficiently retrieve and deliver items.
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance and cleanliness of patio furniture and assist with the opening and closing of umbrellas when applicable.
  • Responsible for closing duties, including securing outdoor signage and ensuring the line is properly shut down at the end of service.
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu, including pricing, item locations, and daily specials, to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Understand the preparation methods for all menu items and their associated condiments to assist in order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment and line tools safely and efficiently, ensuring proper sanitation and functionality.
  • Exhibit a cooperative, team-oriented attitude, and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
  • Report any safety concerns, quality issues, or spoilage to management promptly to maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as required to enhance the guest experience and contribute to team success.

Requirements:

  • Must be available between 3pm-10pm.
  • Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, squatting, standing for long periods, and lifting objects up to 30 lbs.
  • A positive, helpful attitude with a friendly demeanor toward guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitary practices and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
