Job Summary:


The Glens Falls Country Club Hostess/Busser will greet members and guests upon arrival, seat them and assign a server to the table. The hostess/busser will also assist in setting, clearing and cleaning tables.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Managing bookings in person, over the phone, or online
  • Providing waiting times to members who are not pre-booked
  • Offering personalized service and assistance for large parties of members
  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in the front-of-house area
  • Assisting with the opening and closing of the restaurant
  • Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins from tables after diners finish eating
  • Wiping up spills, food stains, and dirt from tables
  • Straightening or replacing tablecloths as needed
  • Replacing cutlery and glassware for new diners
  • Refilling drinking glasses with water
  • Bringing out meal orders when waitstaff are busy
  • Cleaning the dining area at the close of the day


Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage bookings and provide accurate waiting times
  • Strong customer service skills, especially for handling large groups
  • Knowledge of cleanliness and hygiene standards for front-of-house maintenance
