Position Summary
The Parts Inspector is accountable for the quality, cost and schedule of inspection operations for as-received, work-in-progress (WIP), and final inspections. The Parts Inspector is also accountable for complete inspection and shop traveler records and the issuance of “Certificates of Conformance” to the specified material condition requirements. Inspection scope includes repaired and new make parts for both turbine engine parts and power generation package parts.
Reports To: ARM Supervisor
Work Location: 6401 North Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041
Position Responsibilities
  • Receive orders and validate part quantities and completeness of instructions.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Set up and calibrate dimensional equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects).
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize, record, report and file inspection results.
  • Perform other job tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Pass certification tests in applicable inspection methods to advance skills and position level.
  • Operate cranes and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Technical understanding of inspection methods and procedures
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
