Position Title: Quality Control / NDT - Level II (Preferred) - Day

Location: 3701 Holmes Road, Houston, TX 77051

Department: Quality Control

Reports To: Director of Quality Control


Job Summary:

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Quality Control Inspector with minimum Level II NDT Certification to join our Quality team. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of our products through advanced inspection techniques and adherence to industry standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Houston manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in dimensional inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT), along with a deep understanding of ASME codes, welding processes, and fabrication practices.


Please Note: This position involves inspection of ASME pressure welded parts, piping systems, and bellows assemblies. Prior experience in pressure vessel fabrication and welding environments is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

Perform visual and dimensional inspections on fabricated components and assemblies

Conduct and interpret NDT examinations including PT, MT, RT (as applicable), and PMI

Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, and customer specifications

Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents

Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records

Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions

Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

Level II NDT Certification (Preferred)

3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing

Strong knowledge of ASME & AWS codes, welding, and fabrication processes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints (English required)

Experience with pressure vessels or piping systems preferred

Background as a welder, fitter, or fabricator is a plus

Strong communication skills and attention to detail


Work Environment / Physical Demands:

90-95% shop/yard environment; 5-10% office

Exposure to industrial equipment, welding, and fabrication processes

Ability to stand and inspect for extended periods

Overtime and occasional Saturdays required
