Digital Marketing Officer

The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (RAHF) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and digitally savvy communications professional to join our team as Digital Marketing Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing campaigns to life across digital channels and is passionate about using digital communications to engage donors, supporters, and the broader community.

Reporting to the Lead, Digital & Content, the Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, creating, delivering, and optimizing digital communications that support the Foundation's fundraising and engagement goals. With a primary focus on email marketing, websites, and digital campaigns, this role helps ensure our audiences receive timely, relevant, accessible, and compelling content across their digital journey.

The Digital Marketing Officer will lead email marketing campaigns from concept through deployment and reporting, while also managing and enhancing the Foundation's websites, landing pages, online forms, event registration pages, donation experiences, and other digital assets. Using analytics, audience insights, and a continuous-improvement mindset, the role identifies opportunities to strengthen engagement, improve user experiences, and increase the effectiveness of digital fundraising and communications.

Working collaboratively across Communications, Development, Events, and other teams, the Digital Marketing Officer plays an important role in delivering a high volume of integrated campaigns. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong digital execution skills with creativity, curiosity, strategic thinking, and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities

Email Marketing & Digital Campaigns

  • Lead the planning, development, testing, scheduling, deployment, and optimization of email marketing campaigns across a variety of audiences and fundraising priorities.
  • Create engaging, audience-focused digital communications that reflect the Foundation's brand, voice, and fundraising objectives.
  • Develop and support targeted donor communications, including newsletters, fundraising appeals, event communications, stewardship campaigns, and other digital initiatives.
  • Manage audience segmentation, personalization, email lists, scheduling, quality assurance, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to gather, refine, edit, and prepare content for digital channels.
  • Apply digital communications best practices to improve engagement, accessibility, deliverability, and overall campaign performance.

Website & Digital Experience

  • Manage and maintain content across the Foundation's websites and digital properties, ensuring information is accurate, engaging, accessible, mobile-friendly, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Build and update landing pages, donation pages, event registration pages, campaign microsites, web forms, and other digital experiences.
  • Support the development and launch of digital experiences for fundraising campaigns, events, raffles, auctions, and other Foundation initiatives.
  • Coordinate website and digital platform updates to ensure campaigns and initiatives launch on time and remain well maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website usability, audience journeys, conversion pathways, and overall digital experience.
  • Apply SEO, accessibility, user experience, and conversion optimization principles to digital content and experiences.

Digital Strategy, Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of email campaigns, websites, and other digital initiatives using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain effective campaign tracking and measurement practices to support accurate reporting and attribution.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and translate digital data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve audience engagement, campaign performance, and fundraising outcomes.
  • Support A/B testing, experimentation, and continuous optimization across digital channels.
  • Stay current with emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices and recommend opportunities to strengthen the Foundation's digital presence.

Collaboration & Campaign Support

  • Work closely with Communications, Development, Events, and other teams to deliver integrated campaigns and digital initiatives.
  • Contribute to campaign planning, editorial calendars, project coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, organization, and execution.
  • Provide editing, proofreading, and digital communications expertise to support high-quality Foundation communications.
  • Serve as a digital subject matter expert and resource to colleagues across the organization.
  • Bring creativity, innovation, and new ideas to the Foundation's digital communications and engagement efforts.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

  • Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in digital marketing, digital communications, marketing communications, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, creating, testing, scheduling, and optimizing email marketing campaigns using email marketing, CRM, or communications platforms.
  • Experience managing and updating websites and digital content using content management systems such as WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating and managing landing pages, online forms, donation pages, event pages, and other digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices, including audience segmentation, accessibility, user experience, SEO fundamentals, conversion optimization, and brand consistency.
  • Experience using digital analytics and performance data to evaluate campaigns and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and digital channels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
