What is digital wellness?

Digital wellness refers to the practice of maintaining a healthy relationship with technology by managing screen time, online activities, and device usage to support mental, physical, and emotional well-being. It involves setting boundaries around digital device use, promoting mindful engagement with technology, and understanding how digital habits impact overall health. Professionals in digital wellness may provide guidance, resources, or programs to help individuals or organizations foster healthier digital habits and reduce risks such as burnout, stress, or digital addiction.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in Digital Wellness roles, and how can they be effectively managed?

Professionals in Digital Wellness often navigate the challenges of promoting healthy technology use within organizations that have diverse digital habits and varying levels of tech dependence. Balancing the need for productivity with well-being initiatives, addressing resistance to change, and staying updated on evolving digital trends are key hurdles. Effective management involves ongoing education, open communication with stakeholders, and creating adaptable programs that address both organizational goals and employee needs. Collaboration with HR, IT, and leadership teams can help implement sustainable digital wellness strategies.

  3. Conduct preventative EKG monitored treadmill exercise tests (e.g., graded exercise or submaximal protocols).
  4. Monitor participants during exercise testing for physiological response and signs/symptoms requiring test termination or escalation per protocol.
  5. Ensure proper equipment setup, calibration, cleaning/health & safety infection protocols and documentation for all fitness and exercise testing activities.
  6. Coordinate scheduling, participant preparation, informed consent processes, and post test education per established guidelines.
  7. Provide evidence informed fitness and lifestyle education based on assessment results and refer participants to appropriate clinical, benefits, or wellness resources when needs exceed role scope.
