Job description

We are actively seeking highly motivated, results-oriented, and innovative professionals to join an environment where individual contributions are valued and impactful.

We have over 500 engaged team members who are part of high performing teams that are empowered to serve our customers.

At Colony Bank, we Make It Easy! Make It Fun! Make It Happen!

Position: Director of Digital Solutions

Location: Remote or any Colony Bank location with available space

Position Overview: The Director of Digital Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for the vision, implementation, and optimization of the bank's digital ecosystem. You will serve as the primary architect of the digital customer journey, ensuring our software systems, including mobile banking, account opening, and payment rails are seamless, secure, and competitive. This role bridges the gap between traditional banking operations and modern financial technology, managing critical vendor relationships and driving the adoption of digital tools that enhance customer and team member experience, as well as internal efficiency.

Primary Job Functions:

Platform & System Management: Act as the primary administrator and strategist for the Alkami online and mobile banking platforms. Oversee Prelim for both online and in-branch account opening, ensuring a frictionless "top of funnel" experience for new clients. Manage the integration and performance of Zelle, Bill Pay, and various commercial payment tools. Support treasury management functions, including QuickBooks integrations, Remote Deposit Capture, and ACH Alerts (Positive Pay/Fraud mitigation).

Vendor Management & Strategic Partnerships: Serve as the lead point of contact for all digital software vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and conduct quarterly business reviews. Evaluate emerging FinTech partners to identify opportunities for system enhancements or cost savings.

Product Roadmap & Innovation: Develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap that aligns with the bank's growth goals. Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., RTP, FedNow, API banking, Fiserv API Integration) to ensure the bank remains a leader in digital offerings. Collaborate with Marketing to drive user adoption and feature awareness.

Compliance, Security & Risk: Ensure all digital solutions comply with banking regulations (Reg E, BSA/AML, etc.). Work closely with Information Security to monitor fraud patterns within digital channels. Manage system updates and patches to minimize downtime and security vulnerabilities.

Team Leadership & Product Ownership: Lead with a "Product Owner" mentality to proactively look for ways to reduce clicks for the customer and manual touches for the back office. Lead, mentor, and develop the Digital Solutions team to deliver innovative and impactful system enhancements.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Required 3-5 years of previous banking industry experience and/or information technology industry experience.
2. Job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes
computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office
equipment.

Skills, Abilities and Competences:
1. Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under
pressure and stressful situations.
2. Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written,
throughout the organization and to all levels of staff, as well as external
contacts.

Colony Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
