THE OPPORTUNITY

The Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst supports the Companyโ€™s external financial reporting and SEC compliance processes and plays a key role in the preparation and filing of the Companyโ€™s periodic and current SEC reports. This role partners closely with VP, Financial Reporting and accounting stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

The role has hands on responsibility for preparing financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, XBRL tagging, and supporting schedules for Forms 10 Q, 10 K, and 8 K, and assists with earnings releases and other external reporting deliverables. The role also supports disclosure governance, technical accounting research, SOX compliance related to financial reporting, and the effective use of Workiva. Performs all duties in accordance with the Companyโ€™s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

HOW YOUโ€™LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

SEC Reporting & External Financial Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10 Q, 10 K, 8 K, and related earnings materials.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A tables, XBRL tagging, and supporting schedules for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Draft and update disclosure support documentation, including tie outs, and checklists.
  • Perform technical accounting research related to U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting matters and document conclusions in memoranda.
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting standards, SEC rules, and disclosure requirements, including updating disclosures and supporting analyses.
  • Monitor emerging accounting and disclosure developments and escalate relevant impacts to Financial Reporting leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain Workiva documents, supporting schedules, and workflows in accordance with established controls and best practices.

Governance, Controls & Audit Coordination

  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to external auditor and internal audit requests.
  • Assist with SOX 404 compliance related to financial reporting controls, including documentation updates, and control execution support.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Coordinate with Accounting Operations to ensure accurate and timely inputs into external reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Investor Relations, and FP&A to ensure alignment of disclosures and consistent messaging across external reports.
  • Communicate reporting issues, dependencies, and risks clearly to Financial Reporting leadership.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BRING

  • Required
    • 3 plus yearsโ€™ of progressive financial reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting, with SEC reporting experience, preferably within financial services
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • BS/BA in accounting or finance
    • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX 404.
    • Ability to translate accounting transactions and accounting guidance into financial statements and footnotes, earnings releases, and proxy statements.
    • Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings and external financial reporting deliverables.
    • Proficiency with Workiva, or similar SEC reporting tool.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables in a quarterly reporting environment.
    • Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Co-pilot).

SALARY RANGE

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
