Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to work from our Overland Park, KS office. This role will provide legal entity level financial & accounting analysis across a complex and rapidly growing legal entity structure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Review legal entity financial results and reporting
  • Manage intercompany allocations, including labor allocations, across legal entities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of management financial reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with peers in the budgeting and forecasting department to analyze and prepare variance reporting.
  • Provide support for the annual internal and external audits.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Assist on special projects, including accounting for significant transactions.
  • Responsible for supporting management initiatives including process standardization and simplification, financial analysis and research, and reporting

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting.
  • Two or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA
  • Three or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas.
  • Experience in public accounting at a Big 4 firm.
  • MBA, or graduate finance related degree.
  • Workday or other large ERP systems experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • A strategic thinker with an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial processes.
  • Professional agility.
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with automated accounting systems.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate willingness to partner across internal departments.
