The IT Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of Digital Technology (DT) projects, programs, and strategic initiatives across Pratt Miller's business functions. This role partners closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions that support innovation, operational excellence, and business growth. While driving projects from initiation through execution and sustainment, they will ensure alignment to business priorities, technical requirements, budget expectations, and delivery timelines. Inside their daily duties they will work on project scope, risks, resources, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, and organizational change activities while promoting strong project governance and execution discipline.This position operates within a fast-paced, highly collaborative engineering environment and requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

YOUR IMPACT

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional DT project teams across multiple domains
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, budgets, and success metrics for low- to mid-complexity projects (typically under $500,000).
  • Assign roles and responsibilities and ensure appropriate staffing for projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, and documentation to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement within project delivery processes, tools, standards, and portfolio management practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and reporting.
  • Manage project budgets including planning, estimating, monitoring, and controlling costs.
  • Drive project execution through all phases including initiation, planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support using project best practices.
  • Comprehend agile, scrum, waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologiesbased on business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities; develop and implement mitigation and response strategies.
  • Support procurement activities in partnership with local and global purchasing teams.
  • Guide stakeholders through change management processes and influence adoption strategies.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to support strategic roadmap initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and stakeholders on project management best practices and PMO processes.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or a related discipline.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and PMBOK methodologies.
  • Obtained or working towards PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or related project management certification.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, motorsports, defense, mobility, or product development environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, PLM, ERP, MES, cloud technologies, infrastructure projects, or cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of IT project environments and enterprise systems.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and change management practices.
  • Demonstrates leadership and team development skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • Standard full-time work schedule with routine business hours.
  • Expectation is 3-4 days a week the role will be on-site at the Pratt Miller, New Hudson location.
  • Flexibility required to support project demands, including occasional extended hours or weekend work

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
