Job description

OTAVA is seeking a strategic, hands-on marketing leader to drive revenue growth, strengthen market positioning, and build a high-performing marketing organization. This leader will own the company’s marketing strategy, demand generation, brand, product marketing, digital marketing, communications, partner marketing, and marketing operations while serving as a trusted partner to Sales, Product, Revenue Operations, and Executive Leadership.The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and enjoys building teams, improving processes, and remaining actively involved in execution.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Business Growth

    • Develop and execute the company’s integrated marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
    • Build marketing programs that increase qualified pipeline, accelerate revenue growth, and improve customer acquisition and retention.
    • Position Marketing as a strategic revenue-generating function and trusted partner to Sales.
    • Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, KPIs, forecasts, and performance objectives.

Demand Generation & Revenue Marketing

    • Own end-to-end demand generation strategy across digital, content, events, partner marketing, paid media, ABM, and outbound programs.
    • Improve pipeline creation, MQL-to-SQL conversion, campaign effectiveness, and marketing ROI.
    • Continuously optimize marketing investments using performance data and business metrics.
    • Establish reporting that clearly demonstrates Marketing’s contribution to company revenue.

Brand, Product Marketing & Communications

    • Strengthen OTAVA’s brand positioning across cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data protection, and hybrid IT solutions.
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.
    • Partner closely with Product Management to develop compelling positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, product launches, and go-to-market strategies.
    • Oversee development of customer success stories, sales collateral, digital content, webinars, thought leadership, and educational marketing initiatives.

Sales Partnership

    • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, and Business Development to improve lead quality, sales enablement, and overall revenue performance.
    • Align marketing initiatives with sales priorities and customer buying journeys.
    • Deliver programs that help Sales win more opportunities and shorten sales cycles.

Marketing Operations

    • Own marketing budgets, forecasting, technology stack, reporting, media investments, agency relationships, and operational processes.
    • Establish meaningful KPIs and executive dashboards.
    • Drive data-based decision making throughout the marketing organization.

Partner Marketing

    • Develop strategic joint marketing programs with technology partners.
    • Manage Market Development Funds (MDF) and co-marketing initiatives with key vendors including Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, Cisco, NetApp, Broadcom, Dell, AWS, and similar strategic alliances.
    • Maximize partner-generated pipeline opportunities.

Leadership

    • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing organization.
    • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and measurable results.
    • Coach leaders while remaining actively engaged in execution where needed.
    • Foster strong cross-functional relationships across the organization.

Public Relations & Thought Leadership

    • Increase OTAVA’s visibility through PR, analyst relations, media engagement, speaking opportunities, awards, webinars, white papers, and executive thought leadership. 

    Experience

    • 10+ years of progressive B2B enterprise technology marketing experience.
    • 7+ years leading high-performing marketing teams with direct people leadership responsibility.
    • Proven experience marketing managed services, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data protection, colocation, disaster recovery, or adjacent enterprise technology solutions.
    • Demonstrated success leading marketing for organizations with complex enterprise B2B sales cycles.
    • Proven track record growing qualified pipeline through integrated demand generation programs.
    • Experience partnering closely with Sales to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
    • Experience building and scaling marketing organizations, processes, and operational excellence.
    • Experience owning multi-million-dollar marketing budgets, forecasting, KPIs, and executive reporting.
    • Experience leading cross-functional go-to-market initiatives with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations.
    • Experience managing strategic technology partner marketing programs and MDF investments.
    • Experience with modern marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and marketing technology platforms.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required. MBA or advanced degree would be optimal
