Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital Media / Marketing Specialist to join our team. The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing digital media campaigns across various platforms, building brand awareness, maintaining brand consistency and ensuring brand messaging is aligned with company values and objectives. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote MBIA membership, boating industry career awareness, boat show attendance (B to C), boat show sponsors and exhibitors (B to B), MBIA Foundations, MBIA legislative initiatives, MBIA member programs, and more. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and analytical skills to effectively engage our target audience and drive results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, digital media, strong communication and organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for strategies for all areas identified, including a strong social presence, website optimization, link building, SEO & GEO, etc., ensuring all are strategically connected and facilitating best outcomes. Strategy should ensure consistent connection and engagement with multiple platforms (FB, IG, YouTube, and for MBIA LinkedIn).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to define campaign goals, target audience, and messaging
  • Create and execute digital media plans aligned with association objectives, encompassing various channels such as social media, email marketing, and website content management
  • Produce engaging multimedia content including graphics, videos, and written copy
  • Optimize content for different digital platforms and formats to maximize reach and engagement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content relevance and effectiveness
  • Market research, reporting and budget management
  • Manage and maintain presence on social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Monitor and respond to audience interactions, comments, and messages in a timely manner
  • Utilize social media management tools to schedule posts, track performance metrics, and analyze data
  • Create promotional graphics, such as event flyers, infographics, ads, etc.
  • Creation and management of e-newsletter
  • Work with outside marketing and digital media partner organizations
  • Any additional marketing and other duties as assigned
  • Attend and assist MBIAโ€™s networking and signature events including 4 boat shows, 3 regional meetings, annual conference, career awareness events
  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, using data to optimize strategies and improve results
Qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably in a similar role
  • Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms such as Canva, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management software
  • Strong understanding of digital media principles and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Proactive creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
