Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa is a Jesus Formed Community on Mission.

We do this by living out the listening, serving, and helping posture of Jesus in our church community. 

Calvary Chapel will be engaging in the mission of God to reach those who are far from God and his kingdom by engaging in spiritual formation, practicing the way of Jesus through the spiritual disciplines in community and putting the life of Jesus and the community of the spirit on display through non-threatening exposures to the Jesus community. The ministry began with the church located in Costa Mesa, CA and has flourished and expanded into a multifaceted ministry whose influence has reached to the ends of the earth. We have now re-focused as a local Church-centered organization with a goal of forming, resourcing and educating followers of Jesus 

Position Summary 

The Media Ministry Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the ministry's media outreach by coordinating content across The Word For Today, the ministry website, and social media platforms. This position helps ensure biblical teaching is organized, published, and promoted across multiple communication channels while maintaining consistency with the ministry's mission and message. 

The coordinator works collaboratively with ministry leadership and various departments to help distribute teaching resources, support media projects, and maintain digital platforms that serve listeners, viewers, and readers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS 

  • Agree with and live out the vision and values of CCCM as outlined in the Statement of Faith (www.cccm.com). 

  • Agree with and live out Calvary Chapel’s Code of Conduct and Youth Protection Policy 

  • Be an example to those whom you come in contact and serve with by exuding the love of Christ, understanding that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal. 

Website Coordination 

  • Maintain and update website content for The Word For Today and other ministry initiatives.  

  • Ensure sermons, devotionals, events, and ministry resources are current and accurate.  

  • Coordinate updates with internal departments and outside vendors as needed.  

Media Ministry Support 

  • Assist with the coordination and distribution of ministry media content across digital platforms.  

  • Help organize content schedules and maintain digital media archives.  

  • Coordinate the timely delivery of ministry resources and promotional materials.  

Digital & Social Media 

  • Coordinate the publication of sermons, ministry updates, and promotional content across social media platforms.  

  • Assist with YouTube uploads, playlists, and basic search optimization (SEO).  

  • Monitor content calendars to ensure timely and consistent publication.  

Content Coordination 

  • Organize and maintain digital sermon archives and ministry resources.  

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional materials for ministry initiatives.  

  • Coordinate special media projects and support ministry campaigns as assigned.  

Project Coordination 

  • Track project timelines and deadlines.  

  • Coordinate communication between departments involved in media projects.  

  • Assist ministry leadership with special assignments related to communications and media.  

Qualifications 

Education & Experience 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Ministry, or a related field preferred.  

  • Two or more years of experience in communications, media, marketing, project coordination, or ministry administration preferred.  

  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.  

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.  

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and YouTube.  

  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS) preferred.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.  

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.  

Personal Qualifications 

  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the ministry's statement of faith.  

  • A heart for serving through Christian media and communications.  

  • Professional, dependable, and self-motivated.  

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and ministry partners.  

  • Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of ministry projects as needed. 

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; bend; lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required include soft and loud sounds.
