Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Strategist plays a key leadership role in shaping, guiding, and executing high-level digital marketing initiatives across various digital channels. This role focuses on setting strategic direction, maintaining brand and messaging integrity, and ensuring all digital efforts support broader organizational goals both internally and externally with clients.


In addition to strategy, the role oversees project workflows, cross-functional coordination, and team alignment to ensure campaigns are executed smoothly and effectively. This position exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, including budget management, vendor agreements, and campaign strategy, while operating under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Guidance

  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the digital marketing team, ensuring initiatives align with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives
  • Coach and support team members through clear communication, feedback, and resource planning while removing roadblocks to successful execution.
  • Exercise independent judgment in campaign strategy, vendor selection, resource allocation, budgeting, and the execution of digital marketing agreements within established approval thresholds.
  • Oversee digital projects to ensure consistent messaging, quality, cadence, and performance across all digital channels.
  • Serve as the primary strategic liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across marketing, recruiting, compliance, advisor relations, and external partners to ensure projects remain aligned and on schedule.
  • Ensure the team has the direction, context, and resources needed to execute projects without bottlenecks.

Campaign Strategy & Integrated Execution

  • Partner with marketing leadership and clients to plan, strategize, and execute digital campaigns—developing the concepts, themes, and design that drive engagement and generate results.
  • Guide high-level campaign development, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to financial industry regulations.
  • Lead the strategic thinking behind topic ideation, funnel design, messaging frameworks, and audience targeting.
  • Oversee cross-channel campaign timelines, approvals, and deliverables to ensure cohesive execution across social, email, webinars, and paid media.
  • Continuously stay ahead of digital marketing trends, tools, and innovations, bringing forward new ideas to elevate performance and enhance our digital ecosystem.

Project Management & Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate with designers, content creators, and digital specialists to bring campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration across the entire customer journey.
  • Ensure all campaign elements function cohesively within broader marketing funnels and support long-term strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and review ClickUp tasks proactively to prevent delays, maintain efficient workflows, and keep the team on track.
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable projects, building timelines and assignments that enable smooth cross-functional execution.
Requirements:Must-Have Qualifications

Background and Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Familiarity with financial services, professional services, or other regulated industries is a strong plus.

Technology Expertise:

  • Microsoft Office 365
  • ClickUp or related Project Management Tools
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds if/when necessary.
  • Routine use of telephone and email.
  • Office-based role with potential travel to conferences, events, and satellite offices as needed.
