Job description

ABOUT FROM THE EARTH

From The Earth is a growing California's cannabis retailer and delivery operator, serving thousands of customers throughout Southern California. We have maintained a perfect compliance record since 2015 and are known for our commitment to quality, community, and innovation.

We are seeking a highly motivated marketing professional who is passionate about cannabis culture, consumer brands, digital marketing, and emerging technology.

The ideal candidate is passionate about cannabis, consumer brands, social media, and emerging technology — someone who genuinely wants to be part of the industry, not just work in it.

This is not a traditional social media role. This person will own our digital presence — creating content, managing social channels, executing email campaigns, keeping our website current, and helping bring the From The Earth brand to life online and in the community.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Digital Marketing Coordinator & Content Creator will be responsible for day-to-day social media management, content production, website updates, email and SMS marketing, promotional coordination, and online brand execution. You will work directly with company leadership and have a real impact on how From The Earth shows up in the world.

The ideal candidate is an active creator and consumer of social media content, comfortable on camera, creative with Canva and AI tools, highly organized, and excited about building something in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

  • Must be comfortable appearing in social media content and directing team members on camera
Social Media Management
  • Manage and publish daily content across Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Google Business Profile, and emerging platforms
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Stay current on cannabis marketing restrictions, social media trends, and platform changes
  • Coordinate brand and vendor promotional content with the purchasing team
Website & Online Presence
  • Update website banners & promotional graphics
  • Maintain job postings and recruitment listings across Indeed, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Monitor the online customer experience across web and mobile

  • Build and send daily promotional email campaigns
  • Create SMS and push notification campaigns with proper audience segmentation
  • Maintain promotional calendars and track campaign performance
  • Optimize future campaigns based on open rates, click-throughs, and conversions
Brand & Promotional Support
  • Create graphics for in-store signage, displays, and vendor activations
  • Support store events, community partnerships, and local outreach
  • Assist with review generation and online reputation management
  • Help execute product launches and clearance campaigns
