Medtronic's Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business is focused on delivering innovative monitoring solutions that enable clinicians to make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. Within the HealthCast portfolio, this role will lead the strategy and lifecycle management of patient monitoring solutions across both acute and remote care settings.

The Senior Upstream Product Manager, Monitoring is responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Medtronic's monitoring platforms across the continuum of care. This includes ownership of acute care monitoring solutions, remote patient monitoring offerings, and the Vital Sync platform.

This role serves as the voice of the customer and works closely with R&D, clinical teams, regional marketing, and commercial organizations to ensure monitoring solutions address customer needs, improve workflows, and deliver business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and drive the product strategy for monitoring platforms across acute and remote care settings.
  • Own roadmap development and prioritization for monitoring solutions, including Vital Sync.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer needs to guide future investments.
  • Develop business cases and support portfolio planning decisions.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Lead voice-of-customer activities with clinicians, care teams, and health systems.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements and prioritized features.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Operations teams to develop and launch new capabilities.
  • Collaborate with downstream marketing and regional teams to support commercial execution.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, development priorities, and business objectives.

Portfolio Growth & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage product performance throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support launch planning, adoption initiatives, and portfolio expansion.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback and market performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in healthcare technology, medical devices, software or digital health, or advanced degree with at least 5+ years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in healthcare technology, medical devices, software, or digital health.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with patient monitoring, remote monitoring, or connected care solutions.
  • Experience working in digital health, software, or medical device environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking, market analysis, and product planning skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate in a global matrix organization.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$134,400.00 - $201,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
