Job Description
Activehours is looking for a rockstar Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Palo Alto. We're a rapidly growing company, with an established product-market fit, on the verge of scaling.
As a live-service software company, data analysis and insights drive the product roadmap and trajectory of the company. A history of analytical excellence and driving actionable insights at prior companies is critical for this role. The Senior Data Analyst will report directly to the Head of Growth, but will also work closely with the CEO and executive team.
As part of a rapidly growing startup, you'll have the freedom to shape your role, choose your tools, and set the direction of analytics for the product.
Responsibilities:
  • Deep-dive, synthesize, and articulate actionable next steps by leveraging our full ecosystem of data sources (in-app data, 3rd party tools, industry trends, consumer research)
  • Hypothesis-driven testing, including defining, facilitating, and analyzing A/B testing
  • Define strategy and execution for business intelligence and live operations reporting, including dashboards and alerts.
  • Recommend analytical tools to implement in partnership with developers and the Head of Growth
  • Lifetime value and cohort tracking

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in digital data and measurement (live service mobile applications and experience scaling product a plus)
  • Deep expertise in SQL. Experience in Python and R a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field. Master's degree a plus
  • Must be an effective communicator to peers and upper management
  • Deep experience in hypothesis-driven data investigation
  • Must possess a results-driven attitude and be able to handle multiple deadlines and projects
  • Fearless personality: willing to question the accepted wisdom and disagree with colleagues when the data supports it
