Job description

Position Purpose:
The Digital Marketing amp; Analytics Specialist supports the execution of Essential Credit Union's digital marketing strategy by serving as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and its external digital marketing agency. This position collaborates on the planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, coordinates agency initiatives, monitors performance, analyzes results, and identifies opportunities for optimization while ensuring projects remain on schedule, on brand, and aligned with organizational goals.
Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing amp; Analytics Specialist is responsible for website content updates, digital advertising initiatives, email marketing, social media, online business listings, and digital marketing analytics. This position also collaborates with the Digital Services team to support an engaging digital member experience by identifying opportunities to improve the usability, accessibility, and effectiveness of member-facing digital applications and marketing touchpoints.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, executing and monitoring digital marketing campaigns supporting products, services, community initiatives, and organizational goals in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and digital marketing agency.
  • Coordinate paid digital advertising with external marketing partners and track campaign performance.
  • Oversee the Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, Bing Places, and other online listings.
  • Analyze website, email, social media and digital advertising performance to identify trends, opportunities and recommended optimizations.
  • Prepare monthly marketing reports using website, email, social media, and advertising analytics.
  • Evaluate digital member experiences—including online account opening, loan applications, and other member-facing digital touchpoints—and recommend improvements to usability, accessibility, engagement, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with Digital Services to recommend enhancements that improve the digital member experience while supporting marketing objectives.
  • Maintain website content and create campaign landing pages using the content management system.
  • Create, schedule, and monitor email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain social media content calendars; create and schedule content.
  • Create basic graphics, videos, and marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Express, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Monitor online reviews and draft responses consistent with Essential's brand standards.
  • Maintain awareness of digital marketing trends, industry developments, regulatory considerations, and member feedback to identify opportunities for marketing and digital experience improvements.
  • Remains abreast of Essential policies and procedures regarding Member Identification, BSA, and OFAC rules.
Major Accountabilities
  • Digital Marketing Oversight: Oversees the execution of digital marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Digital User Experience (UX) – Evaluates member-facing digital experiences and recommends improvements to usability, accessibility, and engagement.
  • Marketing Analytics amp; Optimization – Tracks campaign performance and prepares reports to support decision-making.
  • Content Management – Maintains accurate, compliant, and engaging digital content while maintaining a consistent brand voice across digital channels.
  • Analytical Thinking - Ability to analyze digital performance data, member behavior, and application metrics to identify trends and make data-informed recommendations that align with credit unions policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory amp; Brand Compliance – Ensures digital marketing content and campaigns adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, Credit Union policies and brand standards.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or a related field. A degree, concentration or significant coursework in digital marketing is preferred.
  • Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or similar digital marketing certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Member-centric mindset with a passion for digital innovation and service excellence.
Training Requirements

Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional marketing experience, including demonstrated hands-on experience in digital marketing, is required.
Candidates should have experience in several of the following areas: digital advertising, SEO/SEM, website or content management, email marketing, social media, online reputation management, web analytics and digital campaign performance.
Experience reviewing marketing data, identifying trends and opportunities, and using performance insights to make recommendations is strongly preferred.
Financial services, credit union or other regulated-industry marketing experience is a plus but not required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing principles, strategies and best practices.
  • Experience managing or supporting paid digital advertising campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and website optimization principles.
  • Experience with website content management systems and digital content.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign execution.
  • Experience managing organic and/or paid social media.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and digital channels simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams, vendors and agency partners.
  • Understanding of user experience and the role digital marketing plays throughout the member/customer journey.
Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
