As a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician in your regional area, your role will support and oversee the repair and maintenance on our alpha bots. You will be performing major and minor repairs on this specialized equipment and critical equipment. This role requires a wide range of craft skills including electronics, networking, electrical, mechatronics, and robotics.
You will also be responsible for inspecting, operating, or testing equipment or systems to diagnose problems; dismantling equipment, machines, or systems to gain access to and remove defective parts; diagnosing problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; and documenting repair activities.

Schedule: Wed through Saturday from 7pm - 5:30am (night shift)

Essential Functions:
  • Following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and proper functionality of equipment or systems.
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment or systems.
  • Observing and documenting signs of wear and tear.
  • Recommending repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
  • Determining replacement needs and documenting preventive maintenance activities.
  • Managing work orders and maintenance schedules by completing and submitting required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs)
  • Ordering and tracking parts and replacement equipment and recording purchases and usage.
  • Submitting warranty claims and adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines
  • Ensuring quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements.

Position Requirements:
  • 18 years or older
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade or 5 years experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade.
  • License in related trade in city and state where job is located.
  • Need to have a valid Driver's License.
  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
  • 1-3 years of experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing to travel to Northwest Arkansas for training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • You have mechatronics and automation experience.
  • You have experience with circuit boards.
  • You have strong customer service and communication skills.
