Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Process Analyst III to join our Asset Management and IT Service Management department. This position will be responsible for maintaining asset inventory data, processing purchase orders, conducting financial analysis, supporting asset audits, and vendor management. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Procurement, Corporate Planning, and Finance to align asset management with overall business objectives. This resource will also be tasked with related IT Service Management roles, to support enterprise-wide process improvements, support system implementations, and ensure alignment between business objectives and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management Process Management

Data Management, Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze asset utilization and optimize asset lifecycle processes such as asset consolidation, deployment/maintenance, and end-of-life planning.
    • Track the lifecycle of assets from procurement to decommissioning, ensuring proper documentation and updates in the asset management system.
    • Software license optimization (harvesting, right-sizing, reallocation)
    • Maintain up-to-date asset records, including asset inventory, lifecycle, budget in the asset management tools, ensuring data accuracy for all assets under management.
  • SaaS subscriptions governance
  • Vendor audit defense and true-up management
  • Shadow IT detection and mitigation
  • Track contract renewals, lease agreements, and vendor performance metrics. 
  • Develop and maintain total cost of ownership (TCO) models to analyze and optimize costs associated with projects and initiatives.
  • Develop asset management workflows and SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Lead IT Asset Management (ITAM) process implementation and integration with ITSM.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on asset status, utilization, and financial impacts.
  • Arrange business travel for onsite inventory, assessment, audit, etc. for remote locations

Procurement & Deployment

  • Support the procurement process by reviewing asset requirements, assisting with purchase orders, and ensuring that assets are acquired according to needs.
  • Coordinate the provisioning and deployment of software assets, ensuring alignment with business needs and approval processes.
  • Review and manage vendor contracts related to IT assets, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Continuously assess and improve IT asset management processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. 

Compliance Management & Auditing

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of IT assets to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of software licenses, installations, and entitlements.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management. 
  • Alignment with ISO/IEC 19770
    • Reference to IT governance (ex. COBIT principles, etc.)

IT Service Management Process Management

  • Analyze and support ITSM processes optimization aligned with ITIL framework:
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Change Management
    • Configuration Management
    • Request Fulfillment
    • Knowledge Management
  • Design IT service delivery workflows and support models
  • Develop ITSM best practices and standards documentation
  • Support IT service management tool implementations (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Improve IT service quality and SLA/SLO/KPI achievement
  • Enhance IT service catalog and service portfolio management
  • Optimize IT operations and support processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the fields of Business Process Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or Data Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement or business analysis
  • 5+ years of experience with Asset Management and/or IT Service Management
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT asset management systems (SCCM, SAP, or similar tools) or ITSM platforms (ServiceNow or similar tools)
  • CAMP or ITAM Foundation preferred
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvements projects
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Understanding of system architecture and integrations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  

Salary range: $96,500 to $138,061
