Director, Insights & Analytics

The Director, Insights & Analytics plays a critical role in advancing Highwire's data-driven approach to strategic communications and digital marketing. This role is responsible for transforming research, measurement, and analytics into actionable insights that help clients make informed decisions and demonstrate business impact.

Working across our B2B technology, financial services, professional services, and healthcare client portfolio, this role partners closely with client-facing teams and agency leaders to develop measurement strategies, uncover meaningful insights, and strengthen campaign performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable analyzing data, conducting research, building measurement frameworks, and presenting strategic recommendations to communications and marketing leaders.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a best-in-class insights capability at Highwire, working at the intersection of data, research, and storytelling to drive meaningful impact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of measurement and insights strategies across client programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret data across earned media, social media, web analytics, and other platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct secondary research and synthesize findings into clear insights, strategic recommendations, and compelling client narratives.
  • Partner with account strategic communications, creative, social, content, and digital teams to integrate insights into campaign strategy and execution.
  • Build and maintain agency measurement frameworks, methodologies, and proprietary datasets.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate performance metrics, KPIs, ROI, and campaign impact.
  • Serve as a client-facing insights expert, translating complex methodologies and findings into accessible recommendations.
  • Stay current on emerging analytics, measurement, research, and AI-driven methodologies to enhance agency capabilities.
  • Support internal data literacy through training, knowledge sharing, and best practice development.
  • Mentor junior team members as the insights function continues to grow.

Success Factors

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in analytics, insights, research, measurement, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in measurement, analytics, research, or insights roles, within a communications, PR, or marketing agency environment.
  • Experience in B2B communications across technology, cybersecurity, healthcare, financial services, or professional services sectors preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data and research into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong experience with secondary research, measurement frameworks, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to client and internal audiences.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and performance measurement frameworks.
