Job description

Diet Assistant

The Diet Assistant processes meal orders for patients in order to promote a positive patient experience with the meal service. The Diet Assistant takes meal orders from patients, families or nursing staff either over the phone or by visiting the patient at the bedside. The Diet Assistant processes menus for Behavioral Health patients.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Food and Nutrition Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Primary Work Shift: Evening Rotational

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 12

Compensation Range: $17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience. Proficient in the use of computers.

Preferred:

  • Prior health care food service experience.
