Diesel Assistants are support personnel who assist with the maintenance, repair, and operation of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, commonly in railway or transportation sectors. Their duties often include checking and fueling engines, performing routine inspections, assisting mechanics, and ensuring that diesel locomotives or machinery operate efficiently. This position is often entry-level and can serve as a stepping stone to more advanced roles within the diesel maintenance field.
