***Essential Responsibilities:

  1. **Maintain dies **and machine related items to efficiently produce statistically capable parts in a timely Repair and maintenance of compound, progressive, transfer, and restrike dies.
  2. Complete assign tasks on tooling work orders in an accurate and timely.
  3. Prepare tooling for complete production readiness.
  4. Capable of trouble shooting a tool accurately with use of stop block reading, solder checks, inspection layout, progressive strip, and rack of.
  5. Understands the functions of, is capable of installing and can correct malfunctions of die support elements (part unloaders, knockouts systems, slug suckers, die protection and).
  6. Understands trigonometry and shop math. Can calculate die clearance, and shear.
  7. Capable of retiming of die components accurately and producing quality shims in a timely.
  8. Lead Continuous Improvement projects, understand machine capabilities, can complete engineering change from start to.
  9. Capable of setting up, plus operating any manual machine and Proto Trak equipment in tooling area in timely Accurately producing virtually any machinable items from start to finish by use of a blueprint.
  10. Accurately filling out press logs and tooling work.
  11. Advise group leader of all print, Kanban list changes that are needed
  12. As skill level permits checking production parts following a repair and or adjustments in press to ensure correct action was effective to produce a good quality part before taking parts to production.
  13. Capable to operate various pressroom equipment and participates in die tryout and inspection of.
  14. Exhibits and exceptionally high degree of confidence in his or her performance, stands behind work and Willing to help any level associate and adequately train lesser experienced co-workers.
  15. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement team to continually strive to improve our processes and procedures.
  16. Assists with training of co-op, and mentorship programs students.
  17. Based on company needs a flexible work schedule and/or overtime is needed.
