Job description

Die Maintenance Team Leader

Must pass written test. Those who pass written test will move on

to the Interview process. Must have at least 1 1/2 years of Die

experience in Tool Room. Must be able to make decisionsย 

regarding die repair and oversee daily tasks of tool room associates.

Team leader will be responsible for ensuring the continuation of the

repair progress to proceeding shifts and complete documentation

used to track and forecast future die repairs.
Ability to lead and direct associates by example. Good attendance

record and positive attitude. Experience with Microsoft office a plus

but not required.

Basic Operating Procedures

  • Repair progressive and transfer tooling
  • Tig Weld, Weld and repair tool steels
  • Hand grinding
  • Ability to operate manual tool room mill, surface grinder, lathe etc.
  • Support mass production
  • Qualifications:
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Practice and follow safe working methods
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Stable work history with good attendance
  • 2-year degree in Tool and Die Technology along with 2 years of on-the-job experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of documented die maintenance experience in a metal stamping facility without degree.
  • Auto CAD, Solid Works, and Microsoft Office a plus but not required.
  • All candidates are required to pass a written test, upon successful completion, a hands-on test will be given.
