Job description

Die Cast Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hands on position requires production of quality die castings that meet customer specifications and run within set control limits
  • Carry out such duties as the Operations Manager – Production may specify
  • Verify setups per process sheets on a daily basis within the first hour of shift
  • Work with the Quality Department to have the authority to stop processes at die cast or trim, when not in control and excessive scrap is produced
  • Delegate and supervise the work of all employees in the die cast department
  • Attend and participate in daily production meetings
  • Instruct new employees on safe work habits
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Observe all company safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Must support and follow the QMS requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience
  • 5+ years die cast experience
  • Ability to communicate with employees on a professional level
  • Accurate understanding of casting defects and customer requirements
