Ashburn, VA 20147

Are you a senior ServiceNow expert looking to drive enterprise-scale transformation on a mission-critical federal program? We are seeking a Lead ServiceNow CMDB Architect to own the enterprise Common Service Data Model (CSDM) strategy, automated discovery, and data governance for a high-visibility Department of Homeland Security environment.

What You Will Do
  • Architect & Model CSDM: Design CI classes, attribute definitions, and relationship topologies aligned with ServiceNow CSDM best practices across complex IT environments.
  • Drive Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate interactive workshops with Application Owners, IT Operations, and Security teams to resolve data ownership conflicts and build consensus.
  • Integrate & Automate: Define requirements for automated discovery patterns, ticketing systems, and monitoring tools to maintain high-integrity, real-time data flows.
  • Governance & Metrics: Establish data-quality scoring, automated remediation rules, and executive dashboards tracking operational KPIs like MTTR and change success rates.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship: Sole U.S. Citizenship required (no dual citizenship due to federal security mandates).
  • Clearance / Access: Current DHS Suitability or active eligibility to obtain U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access.
  • Work Location: 100% on-site availability.
  • IT Experience: 10+ years of progressive IT experience (or 6+ years with a BS degree / 4+ years with an MS degree).
  • Specialized Expertise: 5+ years of dedicated enterprise ITSM, ServiceNow CMDB, automated discovery, and CSDM architecture experience.
  • Facilitation: Proven ability to lead cross-functional alignment sessions and translate complex technical requirements into strategic governance models.
Preferred Experience
  • Active or recent DHS/CBP Entry on Duty (EOD) status.
  • ITIL v4 or v5 certification.
  • Direct federal contracting or regulated enterprise experience.
