At MELT Ice Creams, our Events Team doesn’t just serve ice cream — they create the happiest 5 minutes of someone’s day and a memorable event. From weddings and corporate gatherings to school celebrations and festivals, we bring premium, scratch-made ice cream to life all across DFW.

Position: Event Team Member

Location: Based out of 685 John B Sias Memorial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76134

Service Area: Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex

Pay: $16–20/hour (inclusive of tip share)

Schedule: Part-Time, Full-Time, or Seasonal (based on event calendar, select one when posting))

Hours: Flexible schedule required — includes evenings and weekends

At every event, you’ll help create:

  • Elevated experiences for weddings, corporate clients, schools, and private parties
  • Beautifully executed Happy Cart and Food Truck setups
  • Smooth, stress-free service moments for hosts and guests
  • A premium representation of the MELT brand outside of our Scoop Shops
  • Joyful, polished, memorable customer interactions

What You’ll Do

Execute Events with Excellence

  • Follow detailed event sheets, pick and pack product for events
  • Follow event timelines, directions and service agreements
  • Arrive safely, on time and prepared for offsite events across DFW
  • Set up and break down Happy Carts, booths, and food truck operations
  • Scoop and serve ice cream efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
  • Maintain strict product temperature control and food safety compliance


Represent the MELT Brand

  • Engage guests with warmth, energy, and professionalism
  • Communicate clearly with event hosts, planners, and venue contacts
  • Answer questions about flavors, ingredients, and our scratch-made process
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing service areas


Operate with Ownership

  • Safely operate company vehicles and food truck
  • Complete pre- and post-event vehicle checks and checklists
  • Load and unload equipment and product safely (50+ lbs)
  • Handle POS systems and card transactions accurately
  • Problem-solve calmly and proactively in fast-paced environments


Maintain High Standards

  • Follow all MELT SOPs and food safety guidelines
  • Keep equipment, carts, and trucks clean and event-ready
  • Communicate clearly with the Events Lead and team members
  • Take initiative and anticipate needs before they arise


What It Takes to SCOOP This Job and ROCK It

Reliability & Professionalism: Events are time-sensitive and high-visibility. Your team must be able to count on you.

Adaptability: Outdoor events. Texas heat. Large crowds. Tight timelines. You remain steady and solutions-focused.

Physical Stamina: Able to stand for long periods, lift/push 50+ lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and friendly interaction with guests and teammates.

Pep in Your Step: You move with urgency and purpose. You maximize every moment and bring positive energy to the team.

Valid Driver’s License: Must be 18+. Clean driving record required.


Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
  • Availability for 15+ hours per week including evenings/weekends


Preferred (Not Required)

  • Previous food service or catering experience
  • Experience driving larger vehicles or food trucks
  • Experience working events, festivals, or high-volume environments
  • Customer-facing roles requiring composure under pressure
