THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN CLARK, FLOYD, HARRISON, WASHINGTON, SCOTT, JEFFERSON, OHIO, OR SWITZERLAND COUNTY
(the primary location for this individual will be dependent upon the candidate selected)
Knowledge Services has an opportunity with the FSSA/Division of Family Resources as an Eligibility Specialist Working Lead. This position is responsible for mentoring the Eligibility Specialists that are assisting Indiana residents who are applying and/or receiving public assistance.
The Eligibility Specialist Working Lead will act as a liaison between Knowledge Services, DFR Management, and the Eligibility Specialist. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have the ability to work collaboratively with current Eligibility Specialists. A current understanding of Eligibility Specialist job duties and expectations is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor Eligibility Specialists staff
  • Travel to DFR offices within the Region as scheduled/needed (daily/weekly travel)
  • Support and coach ALL Eligibility Specialist staff
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed as instructed by DFR Local Office Management
  • Instruct and implement procedural changes from management
  • Submit daily and weekly reporting of activities conducted while assisting Eligibility Specialist staff
  • Provides further direction and ongoing training to Eligibility Specialist staff
  • Provide training support for case reviews for Eligibility Specialist staff
  • Provide coaching for QA scorecards
  • Production support provided as needed

Qualifications
  • Eligibility Specialist experience is required
  • Highly organized and analytical
  • Able to provide clear and concise direction
  • Leadership skills
  • Patience in working with others
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Independent worker who is a self-starter
  • Strong customer service background
  • Prefer a Bachelor or Associate degrees in Counseling or Social Services, but High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years' experience is desired
