Role Overview

The Cyber Security Analyst supports enterprise cybersecurity operations, focusing on vulnerability management, cloud security, DevSecOps, and cyber project delivery. The role partners with Cyber, Engineering, and IT teams to identify and prioritize security risks, coordinate remediation, support security tooling and automated controls, and develop metrics and dashboards that track risk reduction and program effectiveness. The role reports to the GRC Manager. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, technical cybersecurity frameworks, and DevSecOps processes.

Key Functions of this role include:

1. Vulnerability Management & Remediation

  • Track technical remediation to completion by working directly with engineering, Cyber, and IT teams on patching, risk reduction and mitigation strategies.

  • Support routine vulnerability scanning across AWS cloud environments, microservices, endpoints, and internal infrastructure.

  • Coordinate the remediation of technical findings against standards like AWS CIS Benchmarks and cloud configuration baselines.

2. Junior Solutions Architecture & DevSecOps

  • Coordinate security architecture reviews, vendor risk remediation and enterprise security solutions deployment (including EDR, IAM, Data Security, and Cloud Security).

  • Assist in integrating automated security controls and scanning into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps pipelines.

  • Help maintain security baselines and guide developers with technical configurations for IaC and EKS and ECS deployments.

3. Cyber Project Delivery & Operations

  • Coordinate and track the execution of key cybersecurity projects (e.g., IAM, Vulnerability and Issue remediation, expanding logging and monitoring, third-party risk remediation).

  • Utilize Jira and project tracking tools to automate workflows, maintain clear project schedules, and ensure cross-functional alignment.

  • Build simple, meaningful dashboards and metrics to track risk reduction, patch status, and project delivery milestones.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of secure software development lifecycle.

  • Foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure (specifically AWS), microservice architectures, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.

  • Experience with cloud security posture management (Wiz), endpoint security, and integrating cyber tools in the CI/CD pipelines.

  • Application Development background is a nice-to-have (Java, Python, or other related development experience is a strong plus).

Delivery & Execution:

  • Strong project tracking and organization skills, with hands-on experience using Jira or similar tools for automation and task management.

  • Ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable tasks for IT and developer teams.

Education and Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in computer science, cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Engineering, or DevSecOps.
