Developer Relations Engineer

At Maxim AI, we are building the production infrastructure for AI. Maxim’s stack comprising gateway and governance, observability, and evals empowers AI teams to ship agents with the reliability and speed required for real-world use.

About the Developer Relations Role

We're looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to join our core team and act as the first voice of Maxim within the developer community. Your work will help build Maxim’s DevRel culture from the ground up, shape our outreach strategy, and advocate for the community. You’ll be defining processes, developing content, and laying the foundation for our future DevRel success.

Responsibilities Community Engagement and Education
  • Build and nurture a thriving developer community around Maxim's platform.
  • Create engaging technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation.
  • Develop and deliver workshops, webinars, and conference talks to educate developers about AI application evaluation and Maxim's solutions.
Product Advocacy and Feedback Loop
  • Act as the voice of the developer community within Maxim, providing valuable insights to our product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to shape our platform's roadmap based on developer needs and feedback.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in AI development and evaluation, incorporating this knowledge into our community initiatives.
Technical Contributions
  • Develop sample applications, SDKs, and integrations that showcase Maxim's capabilities.
  • Contribute to open-source projects related to AI application development and evaluation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving developer issues, working closely with our support team.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to continually improve the developer journey. You’ll be the bridge between internal teams and the global developer community.
Event Participation and Organization
  • Organize and host developer-focused events, both online and in-person.
  • Engage with the developer community through meetups, conferences, videos, hackathons and online forums to inspire developers and drive adoption of Maxim.
About You
  • You have a strong technical background with 0-3 years of experience, ideally in AI/ML development.
  • You're an excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • You have a proven track record in developer relations, community building, or technical evangelism.
  • You're passionate about AI and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in AI application development.
  • You have experience with our tech stack (NextJS, TypeScript, Go, Python) or are eager to learn.
Nice to Haves
  • You have contributed to open-source projects in the AI/ML space.
  • You have experience creating technical content (blogs, videos, podcasts).
  • You have a strong presence in developer communities or on social media.
