RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director of DevOps in Mesa, AZ. This role is hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Summary:
A rapidly growing engineering technology company is seeking a Director of DevOps to lead DevOps, Release Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and on-premises environments. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technical leader who enjoys architecting solutions, mentoring engineers, and driving automation, reliability, and software delivery at scale.
Responsibilities:
* Lead DevOps, CI/CD, Release Engineering, and SRE strategy across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
* Manage and mentor a team of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers
* Drive deployment automation, observability, platform engineering, and reliability initiatives
* Own CI/CD platforms, release management processes, and deployment pipelines
* Establish SLOs, monitoring strategies, incident response processes, and operational best practices
* Partner with Security teams to implement DevSecOps practices and support compliance initiatives
* Develop roadmap initiatives focused on scalability, security, automation, and developer productivity
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 10+ years of DevOps, SRE, Release Engineering, or related experience
* 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
* Deep experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code
* Experience with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic, ELK, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch
* Expertise with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and cloud-native platforms
* Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, or TypeScript
* Proven success improving reliability, incident response, and software delivery performance
Preferred:
* Experience leading enterprise DevOps transformation efforts
* Experience in automotive, transportation, or mobility industries
* Background supporting both cloud-native and legacy environments
* Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Flux, or Spinnaker

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
