Job Duties:

Under direction of Mental Health Administrator 3 and with required thorough knowledge of Medicaid/I.C.F./DODD regulations, laws, rules and state licensure standards, coordinates, develops and implements special training and consumer-based active treatment programming (for example individual plan) for 14 to 20 residents of a cottage.ย  Acts as chairperson of interdisciplinary team meeting to coordinate comprehensive delivery of services (for example, speech, medical, pharmacy, educational, psychiatry, social services, psychology, vocational), to individuals who have mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities; supervise assigned staff in the provision of services to consumers; evaluates effectiveness of staff and the individual plan.ย Initiates monthly reviews and modifies the plan based on researching progress, analyzing data and evaluating the effectiveness of training.ย Ensures the correction of deficiencies. Coaches staff to deliver habilitation training to the residents. Supervises resident transfers and integration into various ancillary services of the Center and day program sites. Routinely is in the cottage observing, coaching, evaluating, etc. the quality of the program and performance of staff.

Oversees the development of all individual plans via comprehensive or special staffings and 90 day reviews; develops a comprehensive plan which is functional for each resident; performs quality review of staff documentation and corrects deficiencies; documents and maintains accurate records.

Coordinates and ensures the implementation of policies and procedures, licensure regulations, Medicaid evaluations (for example conducts in-services, trains staff on policies and procedures).ย  Addresses non-compliance or deficiencies with individual program plans (for example improper medication, improper restraints, improper diets).

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned (for example serves on committees and/or task forces, attends in-services/training sessions, provides help during peak work periods on living areas if needed).ย  Maintains QMRP certification.

Per Federal Register, Vol. 53. No. 107, Section 453.430, applicants must have at least one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities and is one of following: -Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy -Registered Nurse -Individual who holds at least a bachelor's degree in professional human services category (for example, Psychology, Education, Anthropology).ย
