We at Tancell Care serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern & Northern Nevada by assisting them in learning basic living skills, achieving developmental goals and establishing supportive relationships within the community to enhance their overall quality of life.
We are presently hiring for caring Direct Support Professionals (DSP)/Caregiver who will assist and support these vulnerable individuals at their own home. This position requires the DSP to travel to the participant's home on their scheduled time. We have several locations across the Valley that you can choose from. To meet your personal needs, we have flexible schedules based on you and your participant's program. You can also choose to work FT, Part-Time or as needed (PRN). We have different options to fit your specific needs, affording you the work-life balance you're looking for.

What's a day look like in the life of a DSP?
Our DSPs are vital to our success. You are the face of the company because you interact directly with the people we serve. Through your clear communication, you will help our participants in their daily living, hygiene skills, behavioral intervention and social activities out in the community. The focus is to maintain a clean, safe, stimulating living environment, provide transportation (as needed) and facilitate them becoming active members of their communities.
Specifically, you will...
  • Assist individuals in areas of personal care, home management, meal planning, shopping, and health maintenance.
  • Provide Positive Behavioral Support in employment and community involvement.
  • Interact with parents, case managers and the public in a positive, professional manner.
  • Transport participants at various community locations.

Requirements
How do you qualify?
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Worked six months or more with this population required.
  • Must be compassionate, patient, responsible and respectful.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation to travel to participant's home and transport them as needed.
  • CPR (training available upon hire and offered by the company).
